  • Do I have my home inspection before or after I close on the house?
Typically, you have the inspection done before you close on the house. Check with your real estate agent as there is a paragraph in your contract that specifies time lines for having the inspection done in order to negotiate repairs with the seller. If your inspection time line has passed or you were not allotted an inspection time, you can still have the inspection done for your knowledge and for the security of knowing what you are buying.
  • Will the inspector make repairs if he finds problems?
No. The inspector’s job is to notify you that there are problems or potential problems. You or the seller will have to negotiate who will pay for the repairs and hire a private contractor to do the needed repairs.
  • When do I pay for the inspection?
Payment is due at the time of the inspection. We accept cash, and credit cards.
